Disney’s Boardwalk Villas is absolutely gorgeous and one of my favorite places to stay when in Walt Disney World. My parents have been Disney Vacation Club members for Y.E.A.R.S. I think I was 8 when they bought into DVC, but we love to travel with them so we can stay in the gorgeous villas!

There’s so much to see and do right outside your doorstep too! There’s performers on the Boardwalk, cute shops, and Epcot’s World Showcase is just a short walk away…one night we missed the last boat and it was only 20 minutes to get to our hotel room! Also, coming into Epcot at World Showcase is awesome because the lines are shorter and it takes MUCH less time to get into the park – which is great when you’re traveling with anxious kiddos.

The Lobby

Disney’s Boardwalk Villas models Atlantic City at the turn of the century, which means lots of classic patterns, wainscoting (my fav!), blue and white china, and lots and lots of charm. Think settees, mixed with beautiful gold and white accents, and a slight “beachy” vibe…so beautiful! One of my favorite parts of the whole hotel is seen right as you walk in the doors but before you get to the lobby.

The horse fixture coming down from the ceiling is just stunning! The lobby is also beautifully decorated, but since we can do online check-in on the My Disney Experience app, we don’t have to stop at the front desk anymore. I’m not complaining, but my dad says he misses hearing the cast members say, “Welcome home!” when he checks in.

Our Living Area and Kitchen

I love being able to stay in a 2 bedroom villa, though of course I would never stay in such a huge room if it was just my husband and I with the kids. Each room features a living area, small breakfast table, bar seating, and a full kitchen. We always have groceries delivered to the room so we can make breakfast some mornings and have snacks when we get back from the parks.

You can obviously tell from the pic that our kitchen was well used! 🙂 There was a highchair in a nearby closet, which would be great for smaller children – ours don’t need the highchair anymore. The kitchen could have used updated appliances, but they were useful and worked appropriately. We don’t spend that much time in the kitchen on vacation anyway!

I just love all the beautiful woodwork! Wainscoting is definitely one of my love languages. I also realized they removed the carpet recently and put in these beautiful wood floors. The room comes with a broom, dustpan, and vacuum cleaner, but you can probably tell we didn’t worry too much about that. (When you stay with DVC points, you only receive housekeeping once that week unless you choose to pay for more days.)

The Master Bedroom and Bath

Disney's Boardwalk Villas Master Bedroom

My parents stay in the Master bedroom, which has a king sized bed, and an attached bathroom with whirlpool tub, full walk-in closet, and then a separate room with a shower and the toilet. There’s a balcony attached to the master that connects to the main living area. The kids loved using the whirlpool tub (and I even used it one of the nights to soak my sore legs!).

The Second Bedroom

The “Studio” room is also the second bedroom when booking a 2 bedroom villa. Our room would have been great on its own because it had a ton of space for our family of 4. There was a queen sized bed, a pull out sofa, and this super cute murphy-style bed that have been installed in many of the hotels recently.

And look how cute Dumbo looks! Unfortunately I couldn’t get Thomas OR Andrew to sleep in this bed because they were so excited to sleep with each other. Of course, I thought it was cute as heck so I let it go. But the room was large enough for a family of 5 to have a place to sleep and still have enough space to walk around.

Disney's Boardwalk Villas Balcony

We had our own balcony to sip coffee on, which is always a plus before a long park day! There was a kitchenette with a small refrigerator, toaster, dishes, microwave, and sink. The bathroom was a standard hotel bathroom with a large vanity, tub, and toilet.

I also really loved that each room had a “foyer” area, which was the most perfect place to park the stroller! I never had to fold it up because we’d just wheel that sucker in and park it right by the door!

Other Amenities Worth Noting

Each one bedroom in Disney’s Boardwalk Villas comes with a stacked washer and dryer, which was really helpful for the poop explosions that happened once or twice during the trip – I ain’t even gonna lie. I was also able to come home with mostly washed clothing, which is great for the acclimation back into real life. Because leaving Disney is HARD, am I right?

The front desk will also supply a Pack and Play if you need one to use in your room. We thought we’d need one for Thomas, but we didn’t actually use it since they slept on the sofa bed together.

Finally, bell services will bring up any grocery deliveries you have and…PUT. THEM. AWAY. Lord help us, that’s my least favorite thing to do when I’m NOT on vacation, so when they started putting the milk in my fridge, I was ecstatic. I guess Disney just gets it…anything to make mom’s life easier, right?

Have you ever stayed in a DVC villa? We’ve stayed in a few of them (Boardwalk, Animal Kingdom, Wilderness Lodge, Key West, Bay Lake), but there are still so many I’d like to explore. Let me know in the comments – what is your favorite hotel to stay in when you’re in Walt Disney World?
