Ok, so raise your hand if you are constantly searching Pinterest and Google for new recipes?  Wow, you too, eh?  Glad to know I’m in similar company.

So while I was doing my last Pinterest-Google-athon, I found out something really cool that I thought us foodies should be aware of!   Three words.

Macy’s.  Culinary.  Council.

In a nutshell, Macy’s Culinary Council is a website that features tons upon tons of searchable recipes and organized by four superstar chefs.  They’re doing local events in cities all across the United States featuring a great chef, a cool cooking demo, a $10 Macy’s Gift Card, and a special gift for each attendee that has RSVPed to the event.

Did I mention that we have one at Lakeside on Friday??  Ahhh!  Ya’ll I was big on Top Chef when it first came out.  I totally fan-girl over chefs and cooking demos.  So, naturally, I HAVE to go.  Oh and it’s FREE!

On Friday, February 17 at 2:00pm,  Chef Bryan Caswell will be doing a cooking demonstration in our local Macy’s store!  Now, I didn’t know a ton about him, but again I’ve already announced my mad Google skills.  This guy is a Houston native, loves southern food and seafood, and uses Gulf Coast fish as an inspiration for his restaurant’s menu.  This guy has some fame under his belt, having been Food and Wine’s Best New Chef award, but he is also a blogger like me!

If you RSVP now to this FREE event, you recieve a $10 Macy’s gift card!  I’m already signed up and totally going, but if you want to join me, you can RSVP here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/macys-culinary-council-chef-bryan-caswell-cooking-event-tickets-31235079965

While at the store, I’m going to explore the latest and greatest in kitchen gadgets and cookware.  Since son got into a fight with my wisk, I definitely need a new one.  I also want to check out the other attachments for my Kitchen Aid mixer.  Plus with any purchase of $35 or more in the Home department, I’m supposed to receive a special game day gift!  (Will update if I actually get the gift!)  Afterwards, the ad says I can meet the chef and take a photo with him.  I guess I’ll do it for the Insta! 🙂  Be sure to tune in on Friday to my Insta stories while I post live updates.
